Icon desired in users address toolbar / personal toolbar on my personal web site.

Completely Complete 😉 Fixed IE!
Got it with: <link rel="shortcut icon" href="http://www.michaeldurrant.com/favicon.ico" mce_href="http://www.michaeldurrant.com" type="image/vnd.microsoft.icon"> Off to Ptown!

One more note on that (next day). The IE fix is page dependent. I met my main objective and have also just done my home page, but would not work for others unless I did them, but that's ok.
One nice bonus is that it shows up in the address bar too!
Retested the latest tweak to make sure it didn't affect Chrome, Firefox or Opera on Windows/Linx and all looks good 🙂 Nice also because although CNN, the Weather Channel and Google obviously use this feature, some sites like Facebook, Ebay, Ameritrade, etc. don't alway (in some browsers) so I am still ahead of some of them in icons! 😉

Mostly complete.
Desired an ICON in user personal toolbar the way major sites do.
Learned how to create 'icon' files (.ico) (16×16 pixels)
Created an 'MD' (Michael Durrant initials) image and copied to web root on server.

Works in most browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Opera) on Windows and Linux.
Still having an issue getting it to work right in IE on Windows.
Just a nice to have though.
